As more and more people around country experience more job cuts (almost three-quarters of million people this year so far in the U.S.) it's a good idea to be aware of any technique that could help you or a loved one land that next job.

While playing the game probably won't put you into a well paying job, the premise behind it can. What if, for example, your uncle's secretary's spouse is a headhunter for a Fortune 500 company? Or, your friend's brother runs a sales department, which has several openings? It would be a shame to have those connections and not take advantage of them. Don’t forget to tell everyone you know about your exciting decision to enter sales. Everyone knows someone and the more people that know what you are selling (yourself!) the better chance you have at making a sale (in this case landing a great job).
